More Ebay Changes

I don’t recall seeing notification this change was in the works.

 

Ebay has made searching completed auctions more difficult and removed the ability to search only for sold items.

 

The button to search for completed auctions is no longer on the search page, you have to click on “advanced” to access it. What’s really bothersome is they have removed the filter to search only sold listings. So if you want to see what Amazing Spider-Man #97 has been going for lately, you also have to wade through the hundreds of listings that didn’t sell.

 

I’m sure there are other functionality losses as well, but this is the first I came across.

Are you logged in?

 

I think they just moved some stuff around. Once you are logged in and do a search at the top of the results you should see something like:

 

234987 active listings | sold listings | completed listings

I am and its not there. According to the ebay chat boards, the consensus is they are Beta testing and some people can access "sold" and some people can't.

 

I just cleaned out my cache and voila, it's back.

Yeah, there are a couple different layouts ebay goes through quite often. The one where you have to go to advanced for completed listing and doesn't have sold listings is by far the worst of them.

Well I mostly use the app these days anyway...I think one more big push to clean out my closet and I'm retiring from the eBay...They seem to be doing everything possible to encourage people to stop using it to sell.

It is a Beta. I get that layout about 10% of the time and hate it.
