Jewish Connections to Golden Age Superheroes

I posted this in a different thread a couple of years ago when my family took a week long vacation in NYC. We toured Ellis Island, which was incredible, and also the Tenement Museum in the Lower East Side. The museum is a walking tour through the former tenements in this area where many ethnic immigrants, including Jewish immigrants, settled. We walked along Delancey street, where Kirby gets the Delancey Street gang from! The story of the immigrants in the early 20th century is quite an amazing story. I don't think the formal Jewish religion necessarily played a huge role in the development of comics, but certainly the culture and necessity for an income did.
