When things go *poof,* the mods have to move them to a mod-only section, then they can delete them. That is why it says "moved" but you can't access the link.

 

And, I agree, it was most likely the "spicy" covers that got your threads yanked. Were I still a mod, I would have deleted the pictures & emailed you why that happened with a mild suggestion that some editing would keep your pics up.

Not only wasn't I told that these posts were deleted, but I posted these for sale previously! This stuff is no more racy than any other "men's adventure" or spicy pulp listed here.

 

I've been here ten years and have never seen anything like this in a sales thread. So who runs this place? Is anyone satisfied about having anonymous mods decide what is appropriate, without any notification or ability to correct content?

 

 

 

Like Slym said, your images contained nudity and most likely got pulled because someone hit the notify mod button - just like it happens when people post Grimm Fairy Tales nude covers over in the Modern section and don't cover up the saucy bits. Why don't you just repost the books with censored covers? :shrug:

 

 

What am I supposed to censor? There are no genitals, no nipples and no sex. What nudity?

"Garden" I believe, has a topless woman in the BG. I agree it was a little heavy-handed of the mods, but that has been the MO of late.

How is it that sales posts containing GGA comic books, undergrounds, GGA pulps, "mens adventure" magazines are permissable and some silly 1950s paperbacks are not?

 

If that is the way it happened it's ridiculous. While I understand moderators have jobs to do, wouldn't communicating with those making the "inappropriate" posts (or better said, posts that moderators deemed inappropriate) be more effective than just removing them?

 

That's like throwing rocks with speeding tickets taped to them at cars speeding by.

Jeepers don't even have to go to comics general for drama anymore, it's all here now.

 

 

I can see someone's point in that maybe the mod was busy when they removed it so didn't notify, but to remove it 3 times and not notify is ridiculous.

And if it's been moved to a mod area to be deleted why not just say that, instead of confusing everyone with it's been moved.

 

Hmm, so since the pictures weren't too offensive and were debating whether the paperbacks were comic related. Let's look at pulps that are comic related and ok, more specifically pulps in the late 1940's and 1950's. They are the same digest size and really the same format as the paperbacks this seller had.

 

On another note we need a mob emoticon for situations like this :grin:

 

I'd say my 2c but we don't have pennies anymore up here :tonofbricks:
