The Journals Come Alive

6 posts in this topic

or more good news please

The journals have come alive. I hit my milestown of 450 journals two days ago and since then there have been slightly more than a dozen added, quite a few have been by Bagofleas. The one directly after mine was by Lee K, an issue I wanted to bring up as well. The quality of the quality control might be more stringent but what about the shipping. I know my last two packages have been haphazardly thrown in the box with a miniscule amount of popcorn a little bit of bubblewrap and I might have a board or two thrown in between slabs for protection, yes might. Check out what Lee K has to say in his journal...

Surfer 99 shows his latest edition and after trying to not only be the originator of a set, he is trying to be the best in that set but finds another book worthy to be mentions. You can find out what that is by following the link.

Meshuggah shows one of the reasons why I love this community. The sharing of it all. I have made some genuine friends here. The kind of people I would travel cross country to see.

Lee K brings up a good point of where did the variety go. DC Used to have it, now they don't. Of course independents might play a part of that.

Now, I do love collecting comic books. It relaxes me. Competing with bagofleas has been fun and I know he is within striking distance of taking over the coveted number one spot. In fact he will be taking it over this year. And as much as I am trying to fight him off, I am also cheering for him. But that is only one of the reasons why, the other are the journals. More so than the boards. The journals have a story rather than just a voice from the dark. Thank you all to have written and supported them in the past few days. I dare say...let's write some more.

Thanks for reading

PS. It is almost four in the morning and I have some packages to pick up and an article to write so please forgive me, I refuse to edit this one.

And just a reused photo.
