  1. I remember back in 2009 or 2010 when Action #1 broke the one million record. That got a lot of people talking. I wonder how many times that Kansas City copy has been ReHoldered.
  2. I finally got these off mycomicshop.com. I figured I’d better get them before they go out of print. I love Gene Colan’s moody pencil work, the art is gorgeous on glossy paper.
  3. Got this off eBay the other day. Really happy to have this one in the PC.
  4. Superman: The Man of Steel #17 (11/92) Key comments read, “Doomsday cameo on last page.” Can this be updated to say “First Appearance of Doomsday in cameo.”?
  5. The key comments for Batman: Son of the Demon ## (1987) do not currently notate the first appearance of Damian Wayne. From GCD: https://www.comics.org/issue/365295/ Damian Wayne (1st appearance, unnamed in the story, cameo)
  6. Oh no! I don’t want to knock it until I try it, but I don’t want to try it. I’d rather reread Superman comics from the mid 90s.
  7. This YouTuber has many great videos of not only submission results but also tips and tricks on cleaning and pressing. https://youtube.com/@ImproveCollectingComics?si=4BE4PlKOOE3qig-g He also has a nice website. https://improvecollecting.com/
  8. First slab purchase for me in 2024. Batman #491 Third Printing Currently 1 of 6 in 9.8, there are also no second prints in Universal 9.8 - C’mon internet, make it happen!
  9. My Top 3 in ‘23 were ‘90s DC multiple printings from ‘93 in 9.8 grade. No one wanted them back then and now they are HTF in high grade. 1) Adventures of Superman #498 (1/93), Second Printing On 5 January 2023, I got an early morning text, from friend Iconic1s, with an eBay link. I was floored to see a second printing of this book, graded 9.8. The asking price of $250 was reasonable but I put in a best offer, just cause, about twenty minutes later the seller accepted. This book was a great way to start the new year. The first 9.8 for this second printing was graded on 08/09/2012 (part of Iconic1s’ collection), my copy is only this second copy to be graded Universal 9.8 by CGC - ten years is a long time. 2) Batman #490 (3/93), Second Printing This piece is the first Universal 9.8 graded by CGC. I tried searching on and off for raw copies online previously but I never found any suitable candidates for grading. I was also the only bidder in the eBay auction for this book, most likely due to opening bid of $99.99. When factoring in the costs of pressing, grading, shipping and time spent searching, paying $99.99 plus tax and shipping was only about $30 more than if I had found a raw example and paid to have it pressed and graded. 3) Justice League America #70 (1/93), Third Printing When I saw this piece on eBay, the price was too good to pass up, I bought it right away. The eBay seller was YouTuber Mint-Hunter Comics, a channel I follow. Mint-Hunter Comics put out a video not long after I purchased this book, where he showed this book along with everything else from his latest CGC submission, he also mentioned the Justice League America #70 third printing had only been listed for about four minutes before I bought it. The internet makes the world a small place.
  10. You have good taste, my friend.

This is a cool cover! Thanks for posting.
  12. These are really cool! I’ve never seen these before, thanks for sharing.
  13. If it is, I’m not seeing it. I did spot all the other cameos thou, like Lois and Clark and Stan and Jack.
  14. If you like Star Wars ornaments and LEGO, you’ll love my eBay page! https://www.ebay.com/usr/actioncgc
  15. Currently, this is the only Hughes cover I have that’s graded.
  16. #freethemullet That is so ‘Roadhouse’! I’m not sure about DC’s decision to rerelease these s-shield covers. There are so many copies of the originals out there that comic shops can’t even give them away, even 30 years later. I assume these are die-cut covers like the originals?
