PGM Got me a grail but cant tell the grade? please help

Accidentally posted this yesterday in the coin spare me a grade section. They let me know immediately that i had it in the wrong spot. Please let me know what you guys think, this comic is Complete and looks like someone added staples but non the less its a Avengers #1 any help would be much appreciated.

It's pretty difficult to give a grade with only a picture of the cover through Mylar.

 

But it is an Avengers #1. Congrats

I would say 1.0 maybe 1.5 but I think to much is missing for a 1.5

1.0 if back is in similar condition, could be lower depending on page quality.

Awful small images to grade. I can't see it getting better than 1.0.

 

Keep it raw, leave the staples in. Just enjoy it as a reader copy of a super wonderful book.

I concur. Removing the staples unfortunately will not help the grade and only potentially damage the book further.

Don't worry about the staples and leave it raw

 

Of the handful of issues I need to complete my raw #1-100, this is the only one left that will cost me some real coin. I'd love to have one like this, and when I finally get one it will probably look very much like this

I think 0.5 corresponds to "Poor", and that is mostly for incomplete books.

This, beaten as it is, is still complete, so I would call it a Fair 1.0.

I dont agree that 0.5 mostly equals incomplete books, I offer this as evidence from my own collection.

The first 3 books are 1.0, the last is a 0.5, I hope you agree the Avengers looks more like the 0.5 and is not a 1.0, in my opinion.
