Comiclink June Auction

For some reason I can't upload to Photobucket, so I'll just have to say it. I picked up Sgt. Fury #12 (9.4, Twin Cities, white) and Sgt. Fury #13 (9.6 cr-ow). I really wasn't expecting to get 13. It doesn't present nearly as nice as the Northland Copy, but beggars can't be choosers. (shrug)

Here are my books from last night. I got two of the three I was targetting specifically:

Plus five more that fell to me at what I thought were good prices.

This last one is an upgrade I couldn't pass up. I just bought a 4.5 (that turned out to be fairly ugly) for $132 in a recent auction. I got this one for $180.

Probably not. I read on their site that they charge tax to Maine and New Jersey. NJ seems kind of random, not sure why unless your state decided to get greedy and stick it to collectors.

EDIT: Found the text:

"Winning Auction Bidders:

Please remember that payment is due within 10 days after the date the auction closes unless other arrangements are made prior to bidding. Once all lots you are bidding on close, please checkout to specify shipping and payment details. All bidders must adhere to our specific payment requirements. If you have not yet paid for prior auction winnings, please checkout now and pay. Late payment may adversely affect your bidding privileges and ComicLink account status. Time payments may be extended to bidders in this auction if arranged for prior to bidding. Bidders - please be aware that cost of shipping on may be greater than the cost itemized during your checkout process. If this is the case, we will inform you of the charge. Sales tax must be paid for non-exempt buyers in the states of Maine and New Jersey."

I have a problem paying sales tax when it is on something that was sold over and over again and each time sales tax is collected.

That sounds like tax gouging to me

My lone win BTW:

$80

Don't really know the pricing/value on these, but seems ok for a relatively nice grade GA parachute cover.
