This is someone's favorite cover in this thread...? Send them a PM? :baiting:

I posted that it is one of my favorite covers of all time in that thread but I already own a 9.6. So, allow me to help the seller out:

GI Joe 21 is quite possibly one of the more recognizable as well as influential books to come out during the 1980's as well as the history of modern comics. The cover alone was the first to completely feature Snake Eyes, who by then was starting to be recognized as the face of the of the franchise.

Artistically, Hama was responsible for the art and the story on this one. Hama demonstrated the power of his art and storytelling by the fact that there is not a single word or sound balloon within the story. It showcased the ability of the artist to tell a scripted story without the benefit of the narration to force the story along making the reader depending upon themselves to observe what was going on. From the cover to the flow of story this book was and still is a classic that has been imitated by many artists on many books. (The Deadpool homage comes to mind and recently there was a 6th Gun cover that gave a nod to GI Joe 21.

Marvel devoted an entire month to it during their 'Nuff Said month where all stories were told without words in celebration of this issue back in 2001.

It really is a key book from the 1980's that deserves a bit more recognition than it receives.

I have seen a few ASM #300 with a ragged looking opening edge of the front cover, this one has a little of that going on in the upper right corner of the front cover but I always assumed that was a common printers defect. At any rate its the only visible flaw, but I can't image that knocking this down to a 9.0.
