RICK STARR
This article is from The Comic Book Marketplace # 12 dated 1992. This will clear up the question of the significance of certain prehero issues as ST #67 and JIM # 50 and others. Also, check this issue # 21 1993. It gives a great in depth feature of prehero books by Dr. John Townsend. Very recommended!!!!

Though by using cover months he distorts the chronology slightly. SW1, TOS1 and TTA1 all came out the same month -- September 1958. JIM50 and ST67 also came out the same month -- October 1958. KirbyJack
I had to add JIM 50 to my want list. My Kirby-Goggles fooled me into thinking the run started with 51.

AtlasFan
A nice cover on this one...its one of those gal reporter "trapped in the zoo after hours" type of story...with a few tweaks, this tale could easily have appeared in an issue of Lois Lane! rodan57
Nice book. Certainly not common to me. I've only seen one before and it suffered from chipping.

AtlasFan
Finally got a nice copy of this lil gem! I am putting this in the pre-hero thread, cause it has a great monster cover by Everett, an T-Rex story by Bob Brown, and ...oh... there is a nifty early Altas Ditko story: "The Vanishing Martians". A nice book that you dont see everyday.

RICK STARR
That Marvel Tales is an awesome cover. Only seen a couple of ratty looking copies for sale. Here are some of my favorite TOS covers. I love these old classified ads. Here is one from CBM dated 1995.
RICK STARR
Nice pick up of the JIM run, Tom. The JIM 37 is one of my favorites. The 39 is the first SA issue and has a Wally Wood story in it. Sweet.
