Original Andy Capp art bought from Car Boot sale, info needed!!

I figure one of the board members might know how to get some info on this piece. I bought this original Andy Capp art today, from the daily strip. I know I got it for a steal as i paid a fiver for it. Not the best condition as you can see, but a nice vintage piece. I was wondering how to find out the exact date the strip appeared so I can track down a copy to put alongside the original for display puropses. There is no date on the piece, just a "H27" in the middle strip. There is also written in pencil above the strip a S/Mon/far or thats what it looks like!! Any ideas?

I have no idea about your questions, I just wanted to say, thats a nice little strip you got there. Clean artwork and perfect lettering. I remember Andy Capp from when I was a kid in the sunday funnies.

Thanks. I was amazed I found it there in a pile of old books. I didnt really understand the strip untill I moved to the UK!
