Before I start listing some more books, I thought I would show an old photo of my family again, as some of you may have missed it in one of my earlier threads.

 

Now, my upbringing seemed pretty normal at the time, but I will say that my parents were very cheap and were always trying to cut corners in raising us. Case being our babysitter, Bubba, who was actually a felon that my parents hired as part of a prison work release program. It was very scary having Bubba as a babysitter, although I did end up being the only kid on the block who knew how to make license plates.

 

Now even though Bubba wasn't exactly the nicest or friendliest babysitter, I will admit, that he was very good at telling bedtime stories. For years, his reciting of Goldilocks & the Three Bears was my favorite....until I found out that Goldilocks wasn't actually beaten and gang raped by the three bears.
