Agent Coulson first appearance in comic book?

Anyone know what the agreed upon first appearance of Agent Coulson is in Marvel comics? Curious with the TV Show Agents of SHIELD coming on soon.

It's apparently between Battle Scars #1 and #6. It's been discussed a bit here.

"Digital comics don't count" seems like a bizarre rule, especially when the book is titled Phil Coulson: Agent of SHIELD #1.

Agents of Shield was his very first appearance in any comic (pictured below), Battle Scars #1 was his first appearance in Marvel 616 continuity. Battle Scars #6 is when he's revealed to be Agent Coulson, but he appeared in #1 first. I just covered my basses and got all three of these issues.

I agree , Battle scars is from 2011 but this book is from 2010 and agent coulson appears here

CGC hasn't noted any of the three books in question as Coulson's first appearance, maybe they're waiting for the market to decide?
