There is NO love for the Defenders and Dr. Strange… (tsk)

Hey Im impressed there's been one Dr Strange listed! When you are constrained to 5, it's tough.

Doctor Strange #183, Sub-Mariner #22 and Incredible Hulk #126 form a single story, that is why I listed them together. To me they are among the most important "key" of the late Silver Age, as important as Marvel Feature #1 but they preceed Bronze. ;)

I mean Marvel Premiere 15. Sorry. There were actually two Marvel Feature series, though. The second one was all Red Sonja, but still only 7 issues. The ironic thing is I accidentally typed Marvel Premiere on the first Marvel Feature but realized that was wrong. :)

It's a tough call, the first appearance or the first feature story. I feel drawn to the latter.

The market seems to agree with you. I'm just a sucker for Christmas covers.

I'll end up changing this list about 40 times when more pop into my head.

That's the interesting thing about this thread. Preferences will evolve over time. Come back in five years and lets see if you would list the same books. ;)

I'm already wanting to change them. Just debating internally. . .

A Marvel Zombie with five DC GA keys is not a believable Marvel zombie…

My namesake goes for SA. So there it is. I AM believable :)

I was kidding of course, but it is curious: although I would not be willing to spend on them, I would love me some Timelys… :cloud9:

I guess this thread all comes down to the question of what is the biggest book of each era. For instance GA:

Tec 27 is the coolest book

Action 1 is the most expensive

Bat 1 most epic in terms of grandeur

Cap 1 best Nazi cover (i.e. patriotic feel, etc.)

Supes 1 best reprint book / 1st full superhero.

etc. ....

But still: which one is - all things considered - the biggest. I am not sure ...

Rince and repeat for: SA, BA, CA ... (thumbs u

Still a noob so just enjoying your lists for now, however, am I wrong in saying more Marvels are making the lists? Would you guys say Marvel is overall the most collected comics? (shrug)
