Lost Goldie for tonight ... a notorious war book ....

War Report #5 Good/VG ... Classic cover on this scarce Ajax/Farrell book, one of the most outrageously offensive Korean War covers of the 50s. A few tiny chips of cover edges, inside covers are very tanned. SOLD

Another War book, this one from 1959 ....

Battle comics #66 Good/VG ... A really stellar lineup in this issue, one of the best of the run. A Jack Davis story, a Jack Kirby story, then Joe Sinott tackles Fidel Castro, and John Severin contributes too! Tight spine, supple cream pages, general creasing and light wear, light "Marvel chipping" on cover rt edge $20

DONALD DUCK and The BOYS VG ... Rare CARL BARKS item, unknown to many collectors. Small hardcover children's books with illustrations by Carl Barks, published in 1948. Contains racist depictions/dialect of 'savage' woman on several pages - no wonder this one is not reprinted! ... Nice tight book, no writing or markings, light wear, a few tiny stains. $35

Pocket Guide to China VG+ .... Small softcover book published by the Military and handed to US soldiers heading to Asia. This is the first printing from 1942, with the notorious 11-page comic at the end by Milt Caniff How to Spot a Jap -- this comic was deleted from the subsequent printings of 1943 and 1944. Fascinating piece of cultural history. The first printing is scarce, this is a great copy with only very light wear, off-white pages, looks better than photo. $150

One more book and then on to the Silver and Bronze Age!

All In Color For a Dime VG+ ... Hardcover, first edition 1970. Classic book with nice color cover photos in center. Book in great shape, dust jacket a little faded (but not splotchy as photo looks for some reason?), some small tears in jacket. $20
