I'll be setup with David Shankle this year instead of Banks Robinson

This will be David's first time at the show

I don't think I have to tell anyone what kind of books David brings (thumbs u (worship)

What kind of books does David bring? Just askin'...

o.k let's get this ball rollin!

I've talked to a few and last years place is worth a repeat for Saturday night...

Cuban Revolution!

(it's very close to the Marriott [about 6 blocks away], it's in-expensive for a sit down diner in downtown and it's good food)

Sat NOV 9 @ 8pm!

Here's who I got going (if you aren't on the list let me know so I can add you

I plan on getting a head count and trying to set reservations for the head count by

this Wednesday).

Here's the list:

Tsp99

Golden Gurl

Wally's Comics

sassemble

Capt_Comics

David Shankle

Get2TheChoppa

uther

CrocHntr

Nikelspot

Here's the list again for the dinner on Sat.

If you want to be added, just let me know and I'll adjust the reservation count.

Just priced a long box of Neal Adams stuff that has never seen a con at my table before. Trying to thin down the personal collection, so Neal goes! No keys as they all sold at Heroes but lots of decent books at better than decent prices.

Looks like you and David Hinson have the best table placement in the room - right beside the main door

:whee:

I saw I was in the corner but didn't notice where the front door was. I LOVE a corner spot alone as it gives me a little freedom to spread out!

I will be bringing some GA, SA and BA books to sell

Some raw and some graded.

If anyone has a request, LMK and I'll see if I have it

I won't be able to make it to the show; but I've got Dave on the look out for a Batman 234 between a 8.0 and 9.0 grade that is priced at a reasonable price :D

So if you have one bring it to Dave so he can get it for me :)

o.k. folks it's time to get real Again!

Here is the map off of 147hwy (Durham's main Hwy that splits the city in half)

#1 in the circle on the map: for folks that are traveling from the North side of Durham (from Charlotte or those that are coming off of 85/70) take the Chapel Hill Street Exit (I think it is exit 13) and take a left onto Chapel Hill and follow it on down past the bus station and under the train over pass to 5 points veer slightly left to stay straight on on Chapel Hill Street. The loading docks are on half way up the street past 5 points on the left (this is connected to the Convention center on the back side of the Marriott - the "Red Star" on the map)

#2 (in the circle on the map):for folks that are traveling from the South side of Durham (from Raleigh or those that are coming off of 40hwy) take the S. Duke Street Exit (I think it is exit 12) and veer right onto Duke St. on the 2nd stoplight take a right onto Chapel Hill and follow it on down past the bus station and under the train over pass to 5 points veer slightly left to stay straight on Chapel Hill Street. The loading docks are on half way up the street past 5 points on the left (this is connected to the Convention center on back side of the Marriott - the "Red Star" on the map)

and taking a look at the map the restaurant that we went to last year

(and are going to this year - Cuban Revolution) is just 4 blocks from the

convention center...

on the map the location is called "American Tobacco" and it just South West

of the Star on the bottom of the map.
