Anyone here ever go to one of these ??

First place I ever sold comics. The place was a dump with many low-lifes lurking around. After a guy was murdered there, they moved the show to the Pick-Congress and renamed it the Chicago Mini-con.

I have the original Arkham House Skull Face and Others. I'm missing Howard Review #3 but have Jerry Weist's copy of #1. My Sowers of Thunder hc is flawless and signed by Krenkel.

 

And yes Bob Weinberg is a legend among REH and pulp collectors and scholars.

The thing is.... I think these kinds of ads actually worked. Connections were made, friends happened and collections got completed
