One of my favorite books from my early collecting days. Had nice VF+ copy back before I sold off my collection and left the hobby. I'll eventually spring for a hi-grade copy, but I'm a little surprised at how pricey this book is. Except for WWBN #32, and maybe #33, none of the other appearances are really in high demand. I'd argue that MK is not even a very popular compared to all the other DC and Marvel characters. Does he even have a steady title on the rack these days? Maybe it's just that awesome Gil Kane cover that keeps people coming back.

I don't know about the movie speculation. I 'returned' to the hobby a little less than 3 years ago and even then, WWBN #32 was unusually pricey compared to other books that I wanted to re-acquire.

Yeah--I think it's been irrationally expensive for about 8-9 years now.

 

Sold off both of my copies back in 2006, but can't seem to justify the money to reacquire it. He's a C-list character & always will be.

 

Still--cool cool book, and the first (80s) series was _amazing_.

I'm with the OP... This book was a grail of mine for a LONG time. I'm still after a 9.8 at a not-supremely-marked-up price.

and about 4 raw copies in F to VF...

 

and for good measure because they are a paired set, imho...
