GUESS THE GRADE - DAREDEVIL 131 1ST BULLSEYE - RESUBMITTED

67 posts in this topic

Before looking at the comments and the label, my gut said 9.2....

SO I was close :)

I guess this bodes well for when I resubmit

dear lord, you should take that "9.0" and sell it immediately. a 7.5 at best.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that "label" doesn't belong with that "book" . . .

(tsk)

Here's what it looked like before I cracked it out of the slab and slid it into a mylar:

Bully for you Ed . . . a (tsk) certainly isn't warranted - the book looks like chrap in the OP's scan, and it's not a knock on you (as you weren't even in the conversation) :P

btw, :gossip: you should have left it in the slab

In my best Stan lee voice "there you go true believers..."

doesn't make it any less a gift grade.

Agreed. CGC overlooks the foxing, the miscut and the soiling on the spine (not that any of that would BOTHER a potential buyer) lol:insane:

I'll let Ed speak for himself, but maybe your comment implied that I was lying about the label being for that book. Not sure what your intent was, maybe just being cheeky but it also would hurt my rep if someone didn't know you were joking or if I decided to sell the book (I'm not, going to resubmit it) done the line. Sometimes it's better to keep some comments to yourself, or better yet in CG

Hate for someone to do the same to you

FYI

I didn't give it that grade, CGC did.

Regardless thanks for the feedback, you do keep things entertaining with your "advice"

Yes I am going to resubmit

:golfclap:(worship)

I think you might keep the grade or not as low as the grade that many of us gave you ( see how CGC is grading some of the books that posted here so far). Anyway good luck and keep us posted!

Thanks, might be some time as I want to submit 15 books to go under the value tier but I'll definitely report back in this same thread

Ok must not be stains. I see 9.4 with a smoosh.

Without stains I don't see why it would be a 7.5, besides the ding/folds on the top back cover the books looks nice. The corners are sharp, spine is tight and the smudging on the miswrapped of the front cover looks production related.

On MY screen the upper left across from the small DD looks like stress

lines. The spine also looks slightly dirty, or soiled. Also those four dots

are very unclear as to whether it was a substance, stain, foxing or the

cause of them. And the blunted upper corner on the BC led me to think

the book was 7.5/8.0. Perhaps others thought the same?

It did seem 9.0 was out of the question.

Are you able to post SHARPER images?

This does seem like a gift grade to us. Why would anyone take that out

of a 9.0 slab?

NICE book either way!
