Value of these screams

Hi Guys,

I acquired a large collection of horror magazines from the 70's and would like your opinion on the current value vs. the overstreet. I know sometimes demand is not reflected in the price guide. I would appreciate any input you could provide. I can provide scans and will post a complete list on my website this weekend for those who would be interested in them. The ones I am be asked about now are the Screams 1-10.

First off welcome to the boards. Well here is the deal. If you had those puppies in VF+ 8.5 or better you could start commanding guide for them. NM 9.2 and higher start bringing in multiples of guide if they are strictly graded.

 

Low grade copies of Skywald are fairly easy to come by. But I have been seeing even VG and FINE issues going for above guide. It really depends on getting the right person(s) at the right time (if your auctioning).

 

Regardless these books have really started to pick up and will only continue.

 

Will probably have no problem selling them for guide. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info BC, I have read yours and others post on the boards and enjoy the information presented here. I also appricate the answer provided. Here is a complete list of the magazines from the collection. WARNING, it's a large file. You can send along your want lists and I'll keep them handy when we get through them. Enjoy!

Well after almost a year, I have the remaining 600 magazines listed on the web site. Here is a Quick Link to the list, sans pictures, which I will be putting up today. The site is a little slow ATM, so I would suggest opening the the list, then open the links in new windows to see your selected magazine. I didn't list the porn or odd Mags yet, got some 300 Gold Keys to work on now. Free or Reduced shipping for board members, just let me know who you are, and the price stickers are not on the books, the person who did the scans did not take them out of their bag.
