Thinking about building my meager ebay feedback up... I have 7... Wahoo hooo..

I know... some of your are jealous... I dont blame yah... I had to have about a dozen combine sales and purchases to get it up that high... Im a ebay newbie.... used to buy stuff two or threes ago. But this time around I wanna free up space and raise funds to pay for slabbing of my gems...

 

Got a pile of comics that guide at 2 to 4 bucks, I am not attached to them. All moderns I read or never read that I picked up at 25 to 50 cent boxes, or picked up at cover price a decade ago....

 

I also have a stack from the 60's that I wanna get top dollar for, however I wanna get me feedback up to make my sellers feel better about plunking down 50 to 100 bucks...

 

I see a ton of 1 cent to a buck sales where the price is jacked on shipping.. I see a ton where they add a buck or two for combining orders.. tons of stuff I dont wanna tick off sellers. If I raise the price on shipping it would to cover the price of the auction. Rather than adding the dreaded seller fee..

 

I would like to hear from you folks, what has worked, failed for you? I would like to benefit from your wisdom.

Do not overcharge on shipping!

You will get negs and or neutrals.

 

It's better to list then at 99 cents or 49 cents and charge exact shipping.

Don't sell at 1 penny and then decide to add $1 handling charge.

 

Why?

 

One buyer wins ten of your 1 cent comics.

Shipping is (lets say) $5.00.

Now you charge a $10 handling fee ($1 per comic).

 

He gets the package and sees it cost $5 shipping but you charged him $15.

 

You will get a neg or nuetral.

Course I did that with my Funeral for a Friend comics and they went for 99 cents, dammit!

But I got good feedback!

That being said, set aside the books you don't care about making a profit on and stick em on Ebay. Then, when someone buys, ship quickly and maybe throw in a freebie comic. They'll love that and give great he, wait, wrong board again, um, they'll give you great feedback!

If what you have are as good as the ones I got from you, you'll have no problems at all.

You can snugly send 6 comics in a priority mailer for a flat $3.85!
