Shazam #1 - this copy could reach VF 8.0, but not pass any higher than that. Nice square copy with minute edge wear. Has 1-2 tiny dimples on back cover, to bottom spine corner. Pages are going tan/brown mixed, so that is what kept it out of NM level. Good beginner for a entering young collector!

House of Mystery #157 (Dial H for Hero series) This is the 2nd Appearance for Robby Reed. Nice beautiful copy - it would reach NM- 9.2 easily. Photos below says it all

Superman #196 - F/VF 7.0 - $25.00 $20.00 $15.00

 

The front cover looks nice with high gloss. However there are staple stress lines on spine as seen in photo. One 1/4 cover tear with small crease as seen where "World's Best-Selling Comics Magazine" logo is to the edge. Lower right corner also has few small folds. One small light curved crease where Superman's boot is on middle. Back cover do have some cover wear from the rubbing with other old comics (how I got them that way).

 

The book is flat, supple and the pages are cream to off-white pages.

 

A good "filler" copy to have.

Last one... Anyone fishing?

 

This is for someone who loves fishing sport! I found this comic and the artwork on front cover got my eye, it's quite nice!

 

Bob Swift - Boy Sportsman #5 (1952) - FINE 6.0 - $20.00 $16.00 $12.00 Do I get a nibble?

 

The covers looks great and flat, but there are serveal dimples on bottom edge and top edge (like some toy wheels would roll over?). One light crease on front cover.And one small crease on back lower corner. Light stress lines on spine. One small color chip on top right corner (above the "t"). The pages are clean and in turning to light tan shade.

 

Something different and interesting for your collection!

Walt Disney Comics and Stories digests - sealed inside original bag! This is "Whitman" yellow labeled digests - issue #54 and 55. Both looks like to be in NM- condition.

 

How many of you ever seen a bagged pack for digests like this? I'd image not seen a long time since! Something cool for a collector who's into Whitman variants.
