Amazing Spider-Man and Daredevil comic rarities - Whitman, MJ, etc..

14 posts in this topic

Yo - I have been trying to compile a list of certain variants for ASM and DD. I already have knowledge of the $.30/$.35 variants, ASM 238 tatooz insert, and the Authentix variants.

What ASM(v1 and v2) issues had, if any:

Whitman variants?

Mark Jeweler inserts?

Dynamic Forces variants?

Newstand editions that differed from the direct editions?

2nd, 3rd, 4th, or more prints?

Any other variants?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have MJ editions of:

ASM 97, 101,202 and about 10 others I cannot remember off the top of my head. Also have 75 cent versions of 233 and 238 but I'm sure there are others (Canadian editions)

Marvel Milestone editions of 129 and 150 (not sure if these count or not)

I think it's safe to assume most all ASMs from #103 to #348 (last issue w/insert) had the MJ inserts. There are exceptions. If the comic was a squarebound, it won't have the insert. Also, there's a short period of time in the mid-80s when Marvels had a Mark Jewelers house ad in the comic. Inserts were not included in these issues...
