I already bought it (advertised as vg)

Hadn't seen the back so I was a bit surprised at the level of tanning (seller disclosed tanning, but nothing beats seeing it in hand)

 

So can books get a cgc VG with this amount of back cover tanning?

This level of tanning usually indicates some level of brittleness, although I don't see any chipping. The book is still graded on its whole. In this case? hm

 

I think you're still pretty safe with a VG here. But the tanning, the tiny chip missing at the LRFC, and the smudge (BCFC) are certainly going to limit any upside.
