A lot of people don't like Alliance, but there are ways to sidestep them. I never had an account with them and was able to get items from another supplier here. This company worked very well with me - www.gtsdistribution.com.

 

As far as what games to focus on and carry you will have to see what your neighborhood can support. Some can do a lot of business in Yugioh, some places are still playing Legend of the Five Rings, Heroclix, etc. Once you can figure that out you will be able to sell a lot of the right things rather than missing sales or eating a bunch of product,
