Pressing of thicker cardstock covers

So I've got gajillions of books I want to have pressed someday before a send off to CGC, mostly modern stuff that teeters on the 9.8 with just non-color breaking flaws like minor indents, finger dents, and soft spine ticks/dimples that could hold them down. I haven't ever had a book pressed, but do pretty much understand what it can and can't help/fix.

My question here is whether or not pressing is effective on thick cardstock cover books for the aforementioned flaws.

Thanks for any insight.

Awesome.  I have a nice copy of Superman 500 Platinum edition, it has some non-color breaking bend/creases on the spine, this is another card-stock cover, thick book.  I'm hoping a quick press will iron them out, its otherwise a near perfect book.
