A stray question for this group, since I just grabbed several of them over on @Surfing Alien's sale thread:  Does anybody know exactly which Tarzan books had Ace editions with (or even without) the Frazetta covers?

This is where the Warren Guide still comes in so handy, all Frazetta except "Triumphant". Later in 1963 they moved all the Tarzan books over to Ballantine, with pretty uninspired covers imho:

F-169 Tarzan and the Lost Empire
F-180 Tarzan at the Earth's Core
F-189 Tarzan the Invincible
F-193  The Son of Tarzan
F-194 Tarzan Triumphant  - Krenkel
F-203 The Beasts of Tarzan
F-204 Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar
F-205 Tarzan and the City of Gold
F-206 Jungle Tales of Tarzan
F-212 Tarzan and the Lion Man

Are you looking for just the Frazetta Ace paperbacks? There are a few by other authors that I am aware of like Maza of the Moon, which has a killer rarely seen Frazetta painting. The Krenkel covers are also very nice.

Ultimately I think I want all of the Burroughs F-series Aces, and I know I want all the Frazetta F-series books.  But for the moment I was just wondering how many Tarzans they had done, since it was such a random selection of the series.

I do like the Krenkel covers as well; I've still got the Krenkel Barsoom books as well as the SFBC hardcovers with the Frazetta covers.

Now for something completely different. I have been binge-watching old Monty Python episodes and was ready for something more serious. So on to the TV adaption of Defoe's Moll Flanders featuring Alexandra Kingston. There was also a Movie in 1965 that starred Kim Novak. I own a Pan paperback from 1965. For reasons unknown that paperback was re-issued in 1966 with a different number. Out of idle curiosity in the last 5 minutes of looking I have found 32 different covers for this classic. I am sure there will be more but here are a few of them. Amazingly this book has remained in print for 301 years and is still readable today.

The public domain is a beautiful thing.

This is the one I always remember seeing from hunting vintage paperbacks at stores. Not my copy but I think I have one boxed away somewhere:

I was kind of surprised when I found out those Ballantine covers were done by Richard Powers. I like a lot of his sci-fi work, but never cared for his Tarzan covers either.

Not mine, but another Bonfils Vietnam sleaze book. I censored the naughty bits.IMG_2723.jpeg.d70bd197e2b57b1290c15df97c5f03ed.jpeg

Yeah, that's another top title I'd love to corral one of :takeit:  But I believe it's been determined to be by Darrel Millsap, not Bonfils.
