Spine split would put this otherwise fantastic copy at 6.5 to me..... possibly 7.0 depending on gloss and PQ....... IMHO...... GOD BLESS...

Much appreciated. Very interested in a HG copy of this book. This particular copy is listed on Metro as a 8.5 VF+

 

I'll be curious to see what boardies have to say ...

If not for the split it would surely fetch an 8.5..... keep in mind, splits are a peeve of mine and I'm harder on them than most. It's still a VERY respectable copy..... I'd get Kenny to seal the split if it were mine. GOD BLESS....

Not an 8.5 in my opinion. Be careful with high grade raw metro books as they like to crack out and re-sell. If you do some detective work you might be able to find it in a slab somewhere.

A few questions is it trimmed on right side and the bottom?

Bottom over hangs from cover my concern.

The front cover right side the 10 cent is cut other show the whole 10 cent that I have seen.

I don't see it as an 8.5 if it's not slabbed it usually is a lower than stated my 2 cents.

The few books I purchased raw all came back graded lower. The most notable one was an advertised "7.5" that came back 6.0

 

That is why I'm asking for boardie opinion, one that I can trust.

CGC seems a bit softer on Golden Age to me. I also would like to see a B.C. scan but from what I can see, 6.5 with that split but 7.0 is not out of the question.

Is that a tear on the top edge, or a scratch? Left top corner is very rounded, which along with the spine split should drop the grade.

 

Can you ask for a bc scan and ask about that top edge and left corner?

 

There is no way I can see that as an 8.5, I'm not positive about a 6.5, but it's certainly closer.
