Bats 237 first appearance of the Reaper solid white page VF copy with the potential to press higher. 3-4 very small color breaking creases along the spine, none more than 1/4" in length. Top left corner is a bit rounded, bottom edge on the spine has a small impact crease probably from being put on the rack in 1971. From the right edge of the book extending to the center on the front cover there are four very odd creases, one is visible in the picture, next to Robins stupid canary yellow cape.. Similar but smaller creases are found on the back cover. OO said a 9.4, but I disagree, back cover is off-white with some dust staining. $165 SOLD

Bats 239 white page conservative -NM copy. One color breaking crease just above the red stocking on the cover and one that doesn't break color just above the right arm in the purple sweater. A very, very small crease on the lower right corner of the front cover, a similar sized crease is located at the bottom of the spine on the left side as well, minor spine roll, the back cover presents very nicely, minor dust shadow along the top edge, and a crease from the left edge of the back cover moving to the right under the A/FX DYNO-TACH ad. $95 SOLD

Last raw book of the thread, Bats 242 another VF+/-NM white page conservatively estimated copy. Above the DC Batman black banner at the top left of the cover there is a very, very small tear from the binding, a minro non-color breaking crease on the spine above the 52 PAGES text and one between the DC BATMAN on the spine as well. Lower left corner at the very edge is a bit frayed with a light crease. A horizontal crease from the right edge of the book moving to the center across from the tombstone about 1" in length. A light spine roll is present and visible in the pictures The back cover is very clean, minor dust soiling, and very small crease at the top edge above the G in DIG. One corner of an interior page is handing on by a thread, it's the fourth page of the Classic Batman back-up story.

$100 SOLD

Last book for this thread, going out with a bang, Amazing Spider-man 28 CGC 9.0 OW pages cert ID 1139102006. I apologize for the crummy gale filled pic. Despite the picture the spine on this book is very clean, the very edge has some color loss but the book has a nice wrap on it. A similar 9.0 sold in December 2013 on ebay for $1500+ and it had a really ugly mis-wrap IMO.

This copy has some color loss at the very edge of the Spidey logo at the top left and at the very bottom of the lower left corner. Sharp looking corners and a clean back cover, pressing history is unknown. $1600

Brave and the Bold 34, first SIlver Age Hawkman. OO callled it a 7, but there is no way it's above a 6. Creasing and one small hole on the spine a bit larger than the tip of a pen, top of the cover has a split, as does the bottom. Fraying by the top staple, OW/W pages, cover is firmly attached, no missing pages, no staple rust. Back cover has no tears and is fairly clean. $375

Tempting... one of the few major characters whose value has not yet been hit with any movie, tv etc hype.

If looking for fertile virgin soil with a possibility to sky rocket rather than tired trodden soil that has been through the mill over and over and has no more growth inducing events to look forward to .. then I think Hawkman is a good choice. Also of course because the stories and characters have so much potential. Perhaps it will happen like this... Supes/Bat are established in the same universe... then JLA established in cinema like Avengers now are... then next step might be to make future sequels revolve around the inclusion of major characters.. and here Hawkman should be set in stone to feature very highly..along witha personal favorite of mine..Atom! Anyway.. just speculating here..
