I never followed this series but hear the character is cool...Kinda like the crow perhaps but more over the top?

 

Never hear anything about Evil Ernie in the forums and just wondering if this info has slipped through the cracks???

I personally have never read an Evil Ernie/Lady Death title, but I know they were huge in the 90s.

I have Evil Ernie #1, so I don't have any reason to downplay it... but it always reminded me of Alice Cooper.

I agree. Does remind me of Cooper also. Back when this came out (1991) either the writer or the artist lived in my home town. Which ever one it was became friends with my LCS guy and he had ordered a ton of this issue and talked it up to all the customers.....me being one of them. He may have just given me this copy (If I remember correctly) to attempt to develop a fan base.

EE and Lady Death were hard expensive back in the day. I cant even remember that last time I saw an issue in a comic store. If a movie developed, I think this comic would blow up in value.
