Captain America color variant ?

It may not be a big deal, but as I was browsing through some CA auctions on ebay, I noticed that on some copy of CA #103, the star on CA's shield in the upper left corner is a light blue :

Another blue one

 

Yet another one

 

And of course, there are some usually looking copies (with a white star) :

I don't think so many folks could have felt like coloring CA's shield blue...

So do we have some color variants here ?

Yes, there are two different variations on this cover. Here are two copies from my collection.

OK, so are they equally available?

Iron Man #15 (1969)has a simialr variant. One has a green background the other has a yellow background in the upper left corner. The green background is by far the rarer of the 2. I have copies of both variants.

If anyone wants to see scans I will gladly post some.

Just happened to find this one on eBay (and YES I snagged it!):

 

Guy only wanted $24.99 for it. This is the first GREEN variant I have ever seen slabbed so now I have both yellow & green variants slabbed.
