Show us a comic from the month you were born

October 1968 was definitely a vintage month........ here's a book that came out the month I was born, 5 years earlier..........

Not too shabby a month either...... headbang.gif

Cool book (and month). This WOULD have been my month if I was born on time but I came out two weeks late, thus making me an FF #20 baby.

Interesting how many Forumites were born in late '63 or thereabouts. A vintage time for future comic enthusiasts.........

As something a little off the wall.

I cheerish Amazing Spidey 75 because it was produced in my birth month.

What makes this even more strange is that the book is about a crime boss "Silvermane"

that searches for the fountain of youth because he is feeble with age. He finds it in the

potion from an ancient encrypted tablet -unfortunately the potion works too well and pushed him into a state before infancy into non-existance.

This in turn has me stratching my head wondering if I am Silvermane incarnate??

Who knows? (chime in - Twilight Zone theme)

Another zainy thing that I have been known to do is give a High grade B'day comic to my friends children as a side gift at their kids baby shower.

I get weird looks...

But I think it's cool anyway.

Cool story nerf. I also gave my brother a birth-month comic to try to give him a little nostalgia, it was an Amazing Spidey #23 or #24, whichever is the one from 5/1965. At Wondercon coming up I have to find a Harvey or Archie from 4/1961 to give my wife. I also think birth-month comics make great gifts. Hey, better than a Life magazine or newspaper from that time in my opinion.

Yea, no doubt - rather than a magazine, a comic has a nice sense of timeless quality

that helps us remember the innocence of our youth.

And that in and of itself helps us to remain young at heart-

even if we look like a bunch of old farts! 27_laughing.gif

Doesn't really work for me. There weren't a lot of good storylines in 1978. foreheadslap.gif

Funny you should mention sacks of dope... smile.gif

Depending on who you talk to, this book was created in the summer of 1971. Some believe it got underway sometime in June of that year, which is the month I was born, and if you look closely at the tail of the plane, you will find your sacks of dope nerfherder:

I like this one:

My Birthday is July 12, 1965. Nothing cooler than an issue that is from your month/ year and has the correct "day" issue number!

I also like that it is the first appearance of one of the coolest villains marvel ever made in the Juggernaut.

I like it!
