This is my first ever "collector" comic purchase. I was curious as to the "guesstimated" grade and if it was worth sending in to get professionally graded and sealed. Please see the images below. Thanks!

Would a pressing help at all?

I'd be more inclined to 4.0. You've got a reverse curl at the spine, dirt on the back, a long crease in the back cover, spine split at top, issues in the bottom right corner.

 

I wouldn't invest in pressing or slabbing this book. I would just enjoy it as it is, to read from time to time.

 

If you want to buy books to press and slab (or even just to slab and resell) I'd suggest you look for way higher grades than this.

 

BTW: when scanning the book, make sure to leave ample blank space around all four sides of the comic. Otherwise, the guesstimated grades you'll get will be even further off the mark.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks. I only paid $40 for the book so I was hoping that down the road I'd be able to turn a small profit on it.
