There was an issue of Rom I had as a kid - I don't remember which one - but it showed that the Dire Wraiths didn't just impersonate people, they sucked the life out of them and replaced them like Body Snatchers. That freaked me out.

 

There was also a comic I had - I don't even remember the title - were Ultron had been disassembled but then he gets put back together. Yeah, there was something creepy about Ulton. I always imagined him having an electric screeching voice.

Dormammu too. Problem was that the guy had a huge and terrifying build-up, but upon encountering Strange, he was dispensed of so easily. Kind of killed the terrifying aspects a little.
