personally, overstreet is way to strict, way to strict.

In my limited experience: on many things, I agree.

But I also think it does not make sense to grade books in 9.8, 9.9 and 10, so I am clearly not the ideal candidate for an interview with CGC. lol

P.S. I did not get the *spoon* joke.

I disagree as I think there is 9.8's when using Overstreet.

9.9's and 10's are another story

I'd like to see some overstreet graded 9.8s.

I've done some work for a 3rd party grading company in Brisbane.

We grade to strict Overstreet and no books have been graded higher then 9.8

With that said don't think the grades I give on here is what they grade there.

On here I do the 30 second quick grade for fun.

Only because grading from a scan is a little flawed then grading in hand

It was a general remark: I mean, the grading introduced between NM (9.4) and MT (10) is so segmented that I care a little if a book is 9.4 or 10, as long as it is nice and pretty much flawless.

I would see 9.8 as an intended maximum – it simply means you cannot have a "10", because it is pretty much an "absolute" value. :)

Which is the way I like to grade as 9.8 the maximun

oh cool, how nice, your using tiny photos to determine that your grading is aligned with Overstreet, ok, you won me over.

They are not tiny photos

And the grading definitions for each grade are in the text

Do you know how CGC got their definitions ?

By having a grading session with Overstreet advisors / comic book dealers

I had a comment to say about that, but I'll let you have the last word.

I'm of the thought that you allow people to believe whatever they want to believe.

The only way you can know of our grading is by looking at a Halo graded book

Conan. Then you will be able to make a more informed opinion

If you get the Overstreet look for Halo in the dealers market report section this July
