Sandman # 8 - Variant

I have a very nice copy of Sandman # 8 that was given to me by Bob Wayne of DC Comics about 10 years ago as a gift for hosting a Neil Gaiman signing. It's not slabbed yet, but I assume a 9.6 or so.

 

This is the variant without the Karen Berger publishorial.

 

What are your opinions on demand and value? Have any sold recently?

The variant is the one that has the editorial by Karen Berger. The print run has always been rumored to be 500 copies although I have no idea how accurate that is. The book is always in high demand as they are very tough to come by. I sold my CGC 9.4 for $250ish about a year ago.

Of course the issue I have is the one WITH the Berger editorial.
