Atlantic City may be having some issues but at least there is entertainment. I would much rather attend a comic show in AC than some other small town in NJ where there is absolutely nothing going on.

 

It's just before the summer season gets going. The beach is right there. hm

 

I'll have to wait for the dealer and guest list but this show will be on my watch list. Plus the guys from HotFlips will be there. :headbang:

My friend got robbed at gun point on the boulevard two weeks ago. AC has quite a few issues these days. I am not trying to bash your convention, I will likely attend. But make sure people from out of town realize they are walking through a city on par with Trenton and Camden. Neither of which are entirely safe.

 

I would suggest going to the casino and staying there. Also the boardwalk is safe during the day, and a nice walk. But stay off the streets.

 

And you are talking to someone who has no issue going into most of NJ's projects, but would hate to see something happen to someone not aware of their surroundings.

yes, who knows indeed. I mean, who knows? But you are right, NYCC is a good example regarding the success rate of new conventions. And Atlantic City is equivalent to NYC, so okay.

That's a stretch. NYCC was created by Reed Exhibitions, which runs hundreds... HUNDREDS of conventions all over the world. They know what to do. They know how to get people through the door.

Actually it's a comic convention that also caters to Cosplayers. The cosplayers aren't in the background or an afterthought at this particular con. They're offering classes on building costumes and the like. That's why they're pimping them out alot at this con.

I know that this is going to be an Amazing Show! We plan to be there with Stan Lee if anybody needs CGC SS help.

 

Also I have some inside info that some big announcements are coming.

 

I cannot imagine any of my east coast buddies into Marvel and SS that wont be coming!

The rumor I heard was an Avengers 2 movie cast appearance. With the movie release date May 1, I would think any promos would be beforehand and not 2 weeks later.

 

At this point, it's wishful thinking and still only a rumor.

 

(shrug)

 

Either way, I will be attending the show.
