I used to have 3 walmarts that stocked these...I never see them anymore. I don't see the displays and I don't see the comics, not in the checkout aisle with pokemon, not in the books/magazines and not in the collectibles section.

what he said seriously, do not try to "make it better" to look at by using a fancy matte or combining with the page. match white matte to background of the piece and black frame. I use a slightly larger bottom margin to pull the eye down (it works). Let the art shine on its own and let the eye wander around the art as designed by the artist...do not compete with the image

they grade the books, then you price them. You don't have to price them now.

I had my pre-auction max bids written down for about 15 items; I ended up underbidder on 3, all well over the #s I had written down to guide myself! I went on a grocery run in the middle and thought about those Quesada pages with Dr Strange...I was still way under with max of 6K on both lots (2 pages in each lot) Dropped out of the Starman cover at 7500 or so. I used to own 4 and wanted them all at that time; only own 1 now. Regarding the venue; it is all about the terms. But I thought they had eyes on the art and prices weren't horrible.

Im stunned that Quick Stops pages are selling for a few hundred, snootch to the bootch I guess

well? thoughts on prices? anyone watching on any of the 5 different sites? $9K for a Preacher page but I don't know if that is strong (seems so, but?) hoped to get a piece or so, nothing so far. underbidder on two pieces but....

I know the superman cover, I like it and made that clear just before it got a price. I was offered a trade but the $20K valuation seemed aspirational to me (and I have no interest in letting go what they wanted), as does this $40K ask although the piece checks many boxes for me (I have never spent more than very low 5 figures for art though).
