The color breaks on the top left corner aren't showing well. Do I have a crappy scanner? I scanned at 300 DPI

A 300DPI scan would send us all running as though Godzilla was coming. Your images have been auto-compressed by your host - this screws up everything. You'd be fine scanning at 150dpi and not re-sizing at all. When a host re-sizes an image they compress it.

 

Even your larger scan is less than 200Kb.

 

Oh, and btw, fyi, photobucket sucks.

Use imageshack, and tell it not to re-size when uploading. Also make sure your scanner isn't auto-re-sizing.

in your upload options on photobucket you can also select not to resize.
