The FEAR of cracking the case!

Wasnt really a dig at you...just the fact that "buy the book not the label" is quoted in about every single thread on this board..It finally got to me..Who coined this phrase? Anyone know. If no one knows who then I would would like to take credit for it. acclaim.gif

 

 

OK, I did some etymology-type searching, and apparently the original phrase was "Buy the book, not the grade".

 

And it was coined by none-other then our very own lovable JC back in his pre-shill days as "comicinvestor", on 9/21/2002 in this thread:
