X-Men 1 9.2 Highlights New X-Men/Avengers Group in Pedigree Comics’ June Auction

1 post in this topic

The ultra high grade Silver and Bronze Age Marvels continue to come in for Pedigree Comics’ upcoming Grand Auction, commemorating our EXACT 10 year anniversary (the Pedigree Comics website was launched on June 16, 2004). Scheduled to begin in just five (5) days on the night of Monday, June 16, 2014 and last for ten (10) days until the night of Thursday, June 26th, the auction will feature a few hundred ultra high grade Marvels and DC’s plus much more investment quality items. There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and almost every item will be listed with no reserve. Every book is CGC graded and the minimum bid for this special Grand Auction is only $100.00. You can view over 280 books right now in the Auction Preview. Just go to the web site (www.PedigreeComics.com) and click on the “Auction Listings” menu under the Grand Auctions banner.

The two new consignments, the most recent additions to the Auction Preview, are sure to please the high grade X-Men and Avengers collectors out there. Included in the X-Men group is a stunning copy of X-Men #1 in CGC certified 9.2, X-Men #3 in 9.6, X-Men #4 in 9.6, X-Men #13 in 9.4, X-Men #16 in 9.6 (Pacific Coast), X-Men #27 in 9.6 and X-Men #88 in 9.8. The books were just recently received by us and are in the process of being scanned and uploaded into the Auction Listing.

The X-Men #4 is noteworthy as it contains the first appearance of both Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch (as well as the second appearance of Magneto) and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Quicksilver was just recently introduced in his first motion picture feature (to raging acclaim by fans) in the X-Men: Days of Future Past and both Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch are slated to appear in next year's Avengers: Age of Ultron motion picture. X-Men #4 is one of the hottest comic books on the planet right now and prices of this great book, especially in high grade, are sure to continue to rise as the buzz of the second Avengers movie increases.

Here is a list of the new X-Men and Avengers consignments (over 40 books in total with a few other titles mixed in). Most of the Avengers issues plus the Daredevils and the Fantastic Four were just graded this week by the experts at the CGC:
