Grail Art?

118 posts in this topic

Here's the scenario.

All comic lovers have that one piece of original art that they would love to have.

You have the funds, every page/cover/pinup ever drawn has been made available for sale.

You can only buy one piece of art.

What's your "Grail Art" and why would you choose it over everything else?

Well, I don't have any art, and I have even less cash than art, but if I could get a piece of art, the most recent thing that comes to mind is in the Ultimates #1 Vol. 2 when Cap. America is jumping out of the Blackhawk. Or, That last astonishing X-Men when Colossus tosses Wolverine at Ord's ship.

I already replied (above)... Cap 110.

There are other things that I really want, like a particular splash page from Dark Knight, etc.... but that particular Steranko cover is probably my favorite cover of all-time.

Great choice, Steranko really had a handle on the Hulk. I would think that Hulk Ann #1 would also be a 'grail' piece for many.
