Brok Windsor

4 posts in this topic

So! Nelvana has been reprinted and is in the hands of the funders and on the way to retail stores via IDW in a few months. Now seems like a good time to announce my next reprint project, which is the Vancouver-published adventure hero Brok Windsor, who appeared in the pages of Maple Leaf Publishing's Better Comics, created by Jon Stables (and later drawn with Shirley Fortune and written with Ted Ross).

The books will be reprinted with the permission of the estate of the creator, Jon Stables.

If you haven't heard about Brok Windsor, why not check out one of his adventures?

That is from one of the very uncommon colour issues produced during the Canadian Whites period (1941-1946 roughly).

I'll be sure to let you know once the campaign starts to reprint, but there's a rough draft of the cover ready, don't worry my name will be replaced by Jon Stables in the final version, I'm just still hunting for a good, large signature of his.

And the goal was met a few days ago!

You might be very excited to hear about the $25,000 stretch goal, which if met, will see the publication of a long lost Brok Windsor story that was never published. This story, which I found a text -script of, will be drawn by the artist Scott Chantler, should this goal be met.

Thanks again for your support!
