This may be true, but there were TONS of first appearances that were going for nothing for many years found in cheap-o boxes. I have to admit, I have been collecting for 35+ years and I had no idea there was such a character until the last couple of years (and, of course, I actually owned the magazine he first appeared in, but I guess I had never read it, I bought it for the devilina cover!
