This book has some long diagonal full length creases on the cover. You can see them in the scans. The crease close to the spine breaks color. The other does not. Would look a lot better with a squish from Joey.

 

Book is complete and well attached at the center fold.

With the long crease… VG+ or VGF?

I have little knowledge of grading books with long creases.

Others might be more generous, but book length color breaking cover creases pretty much limit a book to VG for me, maybe a little higher if the book is otherwise high grade. Given the other flaws I'd consider this 4.0 tops.

Yes I was more in VG territory too, I was just dubious because I have little familiarity with books with creases that long (which are not subscription creases, obviously).

4.5-U a fan of the press or no, Dr.X? It will not help with the first diagonal crease but might benefit the second diagonal crease and the smaller vertical one next to it. Cool book either way.
