"While his family and friends know Jonathan Vela as a kind and charitable man, folks from pop culture conventions know his cosplay work as Aquaman San Antonio. He's given a lot of his time and efforts to visiting hospitals and children's charities entertaining, and making peoples' days brighter.

 

On Friday, 25 July 2014, Jonathan suffered a stroke. While there's never a good time to have a life-threatening condition hit, it was literally insult on injury: the following week, Jonathan was due to start his teaching career, after being unemployed for an extended period of time.

 

We have decided to give back to this unselfish man and show him how much he is loved in the San Antonio Community.
