Anyone know what issue this story is from?

I can't for the life of me figure out where I read this story. Does this ring any bells for anyone?

 

There's a scientist and he's been working on a serum that will bring himself back to life after he's dead. He no longer loves his wife and he convinces his secretary that they should die together.

 

He has a lot of money for some reason. He puts the money into a bank account and promises his secretary that when they awake, many years in the future, they'll be rich because of all the interest the money has earned over hundreds(?) of years.

 

The devise a plan to set up two devices that will inject them with the serum at a certain date, which is on a timer.

 

The plan goes off like clockwork. They are brought back to life but, lo and behold, when they go to get the money, the bank no longer exists.

 

Something like that. I swear it was from an EC but just can't remember. Anyone?

The ending is a bit different from your memory:

 

 

They wake up, prove their identity to an incredulous bank, and have tons of money. But they have taken the common cold with them, and it kills everyone else. With only each other for company they soon hate each other.
