Red label question

Depends who you talk to. A lot of people think the grading was tighter back at the beginning. There are also people that really like old labels and would want them for that reason alone.

 

There's also some school of thought that books should be regraded because of stuff breaking down or something in the material used to slab the books.

 

Personally, I'd leave 'em.

I'm sure Shadroch's analysis is spot on. All I know is I tend to pay more for Red/Old Label Blues since they almost always have never been pressed. Thus have a better chance of upgrade with a CPR.

I don't particularly like the red labels myself. They look out of place when sitting with the rest of my collection. I'm not particularly found of the old labels as well.
