Last Chance - $500k in CGC Golden Age for Sale on Ebay.

23 posts in this topic

On December 27th, 2004 at 10am PST, I will begin listing a ton of CGC certified Golden Age and other comics on Ebay. To view these (7 and 10 day) listings, simply do a Ebay seller search for Grimstarman. They will be appearing in mostly alphabetical order starting with Action Comics #4 CGC VF 8.0 and ending with Zip Comics #5 CGC NM 9.4.

Don't hesitate to ask me for larger scans on these items!

I have run many of these listing on Ebay over the past year and after this current set of listings I plan to VAULT (like Uncle Scrooge) AWAY most of these for the for-see-able future and let the demand for them catch up with their true scarcity.

Many are listed below, at and even above their 2004 Overstreet guide values to protect my investment. I think many collectors are under the mistaken impression that these items are very common simply because I offered them all up for sale in various venues throughout the past year. I hate putting so many of these up for sale at one time since many collectors become brain dead when presented with so many options and buy nothing. If that happens, it's not a big deal as it will be their loss and my gain. I'll just stow them away and finance my retirement. :>)

Why am I selling all these great items on Ebay?

Quite frankly, I need the extra money since we're having another child and I'm putting together capital for the purchase of a home. Besides, Ebay is offering sellers discounted listing rates for today's listings only.

I hope that my fellow collectors take the time to review all my listings and don't hesitate to ask for larger scans or more information. Don't let this last opportunity to fill the holes in your Golden Age comic collections pass you bye.

All told I'll be listing about a half-a-million ($500,000.00) dollars worth of scarce Golden Age and other comics on Ebay today. Many of these items are quite scarce with an average of 8 or fewer certified copies known to exist in the most recent CGC census (compare that to the nearly 1000 copies of Amazing Spiderman #1 that have been certified so far). 893whatthe.gifGive em' a look and Happy New Year!
