This is the thread to request full set additions to the CGC Registry. (Requests for expansions can be made in the thread dedicated to those requests) There must be more than one issue/book in the set or graded by CGC to create a set. As a rule, if there is only one issue graded (even if the issue & variant of the same issue are graded) we will not make the set. We prefer that there be evidence of someone collecting the series rather than just having passion for the one issue. You are welcome to display these books in the custom registry sets until you are able to obtain and grade additional issues.

You can add your request to this thread, just please only request a title once and check to make sure that the set does not already exist on the registry.

 

Below is the list of sets currently up for addition based upon previous requests.

As before, each set will be marked as DONE when they are finished. (or if I have any notes or questions, that will be noted instead).

Once I have completed this list I will create a new list of the requests that are featured in this thread, so please try to only request a title once and then be patient for the new thread (it helps to skim through and make sure another user hasn’t requested it already, too)…thanks!

 

Just to clarify:

-Any request for a "custom" or specialized set will need a list to be provided. The complete list can be posted, PM'd or e-mailed to me. If a list is not provided by the time I reach the request it will be moved to the end of the list. :news: Competitive "Custom" sets are currently limited to Cover Artist sets & Mini-series/One-Shots sets. Any others should be created using the non-competitive custom set option now available.

I see the new list, but two of my most wanted requests aren't there! Two sets I've already requested some time ago have been left off of this new list:

 

Would you please reinsert them in the order I requested them? Seems unfair that my requests get bumped either to the absolute rear, or worse yet, completely omitted.

 

Here's the first request, copied and pasted from when I originally posted 5/15/14, with a revised set list which I posted on 8/12 (also copied and pasted here) to correct an error in the original request:

 

New Set Request: Superman Mini-Series Collection

 

Rationale: There have been a number of excellent Superman miniseries published over the years. Some of them are in the Registry as solo sets, but most by far are not. I propose a set to collect all of the miniseries under one umbrella. For purposes of this set, a miniseries will be defined as having a complete run of less than a year; that is, less than 12 issues (accordingly, All-Star Superman and several others with a 12-issue run -- all of which are already in the Registry as sets of their own anyway -- are not included here). Superman collectors will now have a spot to showcase their Superman short series holdings together.

 

(addendum originally sent 8/12):

Please note that I first requested this set on 5/15/14, and I understand it is already in the next queue: among the first, if not THE first, in the NEXT set of full set requests following the current list, which is just fine. No problems about that:

 

HOWEVER, I want to provide you with a new list to supplant the original list I included with my original request (which is the last entry in the former full-set-request thread), which suffers from some omissions on my part. Please replace my original list with THIS list when adding the set as its turn eventually comes. Hope this doesn't cost me my spot in line!

OK. Thanks very much for clarifying. I did see the note in the header about custom sets, but the fact that they weren't even listed prompted me to send the above. Just to make sure. Looking forward to seeing these sets and filling them up.
