Nice books...but your scanner sucks on CGC books....

Unfortunately, my partner in crime who does the scanning/auction preps had his computer die and had to get a new one that his old scanner does not work with (XP does not support the old Agfa driver). His new Cannon scanner does great work on raw books but the plastic CGC holders must refract the light enough to create the blurry image.

 

Has anyone else run into this problem? Any advice on how to deal with this would be appreciated.

He might want to see if there is a driver update for XP. When I got XP, I had to download a scanner driver update so it would work with my XP.

The Canon technology won't allow any reasonable scans of CGC books regardless of the settings.

Best for CGC books are Scanjet scanners by HP.
